We are very excited about our achievements during the first international virtual x-dream.events that we hosted from 26-28 January 2021 (10.00-18.00 CET). On a specially designed website https://x-dream.events, media-IT professionals from over the world could watch interviews and panel discussions, meet likely-minded people, and participate in product demos. All talks were grouped by three themes “Production”, “Management” and “Delivery” and divided into three days accordingly.
To give you an understanding of the topics here are some of them: «Remote ingest workflows - 7 things to consider», «Paying for transcoding? The added value of enterprise software», «Well-structured media archives - 5 use cases», «Asset aggregation for OTT publishing - a guide to a successful solution» and many more.
STATISTICS
- 27 auditorium talks were watched from all over the world;
- 30 professionals shared their unique knowledge with the audience;
- 18 demos took place in private spaces.
Our virtual event covered everything we like and value about offline trade shows and offered even more flexibility and possibilities in a user-friendly and safe virtual space. We got many positive feedbacks both from visitors and participants!
AUDITORIUM
All interviews were streamed live from our own Munich-based studios built using our vendor partner products. Interviewees joined us remotely from France, India, Turkey, the Netherland, Czech Republic, UK, and USA. We had 1-on-1 sessions, as well as panel discussions up to 6 participants. We discussed the latest trends in ingest, transcoding, QC and on the flight translation and transcription, our partners shared their thought about available solutions for production management, overlay CDNs, multitenant hosted solutions, we discussed HDR and PSE, and even launched a new product – a mobile journalist app YourStoryz.
COFFEE BAR
Like at IBC, we had a coffee bar, a meeting point for all event visitors and participants. There you could ask your tricky questions on the topics that were discussed in the Auditorium or chat with industry professionals. You had a chance to meet familiar faces in a video conference. On the last day of our x-dream.events, we hosted a transcoding user-group meeting there.
PRODUCT DEMOS
All our partners offered public live demos to all visitors of the platform. If anyone had more particular questions, he/she could arrange a private session on a platform as well that was widely used.
